Specialised Labels Help to Manage Children’s Conditions
As suppliers of great ranges of labels for schoolchildren, we at Labels4School have identified the vital need for specialised labels that enable people outside the child’s home and family environment to identify and recognise little ones who may be at risk or have a condition that they are too young to manage.
Children are busy little beings who live in the moment. They focus on the here and now, forgetting about consequences, which is why our specialised Allergy Alert and Colour Blind labels are invaluable for such children and the adults who are responsible for their well-being.
Our specialised labels are bright and cheery products, printed so that they are highly visible and legible, despite being fun products for kids to enjoy, ensuring they nevertheless don’t feel as if they’re in any way “different” or isolated from their peers. This is a very important feature of the way in which these stunning stickers are created and presented.
Colour-Blind or Allergic
Colour blindness and allergies in children are two specialised issues which stand out. The former may be a hindrance when early learning techniques are applied, during which colour and colour differentiation are relevant. Allergies present entirely different challenges.
Importance of Recognising Allergies
According to various sources, allergies and allergic conditions are still on the increase, particularly pertaining to foods, medications, and bee or insect stings and bites. These disorders exist, are prevalent, and are on the increase. Prevalence is not only due to population increase; proportionally, numbers of allergy sufferers are climbing.
Symptoms of some are merely uncomfortable and inconvenient, whilst the effects of other types of severe allergies may have extremely severe consequences if not medically treated soon after exposure to the allergen. It’s always safer to make others aware that a child is an allergy sufferer, because very young little ones are unable to grasp the implications of their allergies.
Colour-Blindness Challenges
Similarly, educators should be informed if a youngster is colour-blind. Labels4School’s speciality colour-blind stickers are not only informative, but they are also helpful in helping youngsters find a way around the challenges of dealing with colours and their colour blindness, which tends to affect more males than females.
One of this phenomenon’s main symptoms is the inability to distinguish differences between colours, particularly red and green. Because colour plays a truly important role throughout one’s life, those who lack the ability to differentiate colours are deemed to be “colour-blind”, notwithstanding the fact that the colour-blind person may otherwise have near-perfect vision.
Alternative Colour Recognition Technique
Available in a pack that consists of stickers in different shapes and sizes that cater for numerous applications, Labels4School’s specialised stickers are printed with the name of each colour and a colour bar, plus a symbol, providing the youngster with a few methods of association and recognition of different colours.
The multi-use stickers are durable, waterproof, and microwave and dishwasher safe. To reinforce the efficacy of this system, each comprehensive pack includes a corresponding A4 sheet of circles and micros for the teacher’s use in the classroom.
