Where do I start? I need help deciding...

We can help! Firstly, decide on what type of labels you are looking for. We have 2 ranges. Think about all the stationery, supplies and clothing you need to label.

1. Classic (black and white) labels are more affordable and come in packs of individual labels or value packs. We have loads of options! Read our blog about the best Classic Label packs that explain what each label is for! Find it here. Each label has a specific purpose and it's not just 1 label fits all.

2. Colour labels are printed on vinyl and are waterproof and dishwasher safe. These are sold as value packs- the Colour Super and Colour Starter packs come with iron on labels. The other packs do not. They come in super cute designer themes or custom design where you can create your own labels!

Can I split a pack between two kids?

Unfortunately we cannot split packs as we run off an automated system but we do have a few different packs to choose from and you can also purchase sets of individual labels, however the label packs are the best quality.

Can I choose a font / picture?

Yes! We now have a range of fonts and an all new exclusive range of adorable pictures as well as a fantastic range of colour options if you are looking for something a bit more fun.

How do I choose iron on or Sew in labels?

It is one label. These are iron on labels which can also be sewn-in around the edges for extra re-enforcement when used for rough hostel washes. Take a look at the application instructions here.

Can I have an "optional field" on my micro labels?

These are very small so just the name and surname is printed on these.

Are the iron on/Sew in labels good quality?

Yes, they are very good quality as they are imported from the UK. The most important thing to do is to read the instructions very carefully before attempting to apply them – there are full written instructions and picture instructions for all the labels in the pack. The labels are suitable for home washes up to 40 degrees though so if the labels are for boarders or care homes which use very hot washes they may need to be sewn in as well (just 2-3 stitches on each short side should do it).

Wall Decals

What are the wall decals made of? Our decals are printed with Eco-friendly ink of the highest standard and cut from top quality matt vinyl. There are NO unsightly transparent borders. 100% safe to use in kids' rooms.

Will the decal stick to my surface?

Your surface must be smooth, clean, dry and dust free. Our wall decals will stick to any smooth clean, hard, non-porous surface such as walls, doors, and windows. Decals will not stick to some surfaces such as fresh paint and heavy textured walls. Make sure your paint is left to dry for at least 4 weeks before applying the vinyl decal. Our decals will stick to porcelain, mirror, glass, tiles, ceramic and plastic.

Can I reuse the wall decal?

No, decals are not reusable after they have been removed. They stretch when you pull them off the wall and will never regain their shape. Do NOT pull them off the wall- use a hairdryer to soften the adhesive first then peel off.

How long will the wall decals last?

For as long as you want them to. If you take care of your wall decal they can stay on your surface forever.

Do I have to apply all my letters individually? No, you most definitely do not have to, your decal will come with transfer tape on top of it and your wording will be lined up and spaced out already.

Why won’t my decal stick to my wall even though I have followed all the instructions?

Vinyl decals won't stick to newly painted walls or roughly textured walls. Vinyl is heat sensitive. Your ideal temperature to apply decals is 23 degrees Celsius. Your walls expand and contract with the weather so if they are not applied in the ideal temperature you may have to keep pushing them down for a few weeks until they settle. Alternatively, heat the vinyl with a hairdryer whilst rubbing your hand over the application tape and pressing your vinyl down. If your application tape has already been peeled off, heat the vinyl and press it down with a towel. DO NOT RUB THE VINYL ONCE THE TAPE HAS BEEN REMOVED.

Delivery Queries

How long does printing take?

Printing generally takes 3-5 working days however during busy periods such as November, December and January, printing lead time may be between 5-8 working days after payment reflects in our account.

What delivery options are there?

R59 All major city centres
1-3 working days after dispatch.

R99 All outlying areas
1-3 working days after dispatch.

Kindly note our shipping services are managed by a third party courier company. We cannot schedule a delivery for a specific day. They will deliver during working hours from Monday- Friday. Please ensure there is someone available to receive your delivery at the shipping address and the contact number provided can be reached during office hours. 

*** Regrettably we do not offer delivery with the SA Post Office anymore, this is due to slow service during lock-down. 

How can I select Standard mail or Registered Mail for delivery?

Due to many complaints regarding postal deliveries due to inefficiencies at the post office we have unfortunately had to remove these as delivery options.

Which is the best delivery option?

We always recommend the R59 delivery to major centres and R99 courier for outlying areas. Our chosen courier service provider is fast and reliable.

Can I collect my order?

As we are an online business we do not have premises for collection.

What delivery option do I choose if I am not from South Africa?

We unfortunately no longer accept international orders. If you would like to place an order, please do so with our UK counterpart www.labels4school.co.uk 

Must I pay for courier twice if I make two different orders?

If you have placed two orders at the same time and all the delivery details are the same we will send the two orders in one satchel, provided you let us know before either parcel is dispatched.

Ordering queries

How do I place an order?

Easy! Just select the pack that you would like to purchase and fill in the details that you would like printed on the labels, customise it with a picture and font; then press “Add to Cart”. You can then continue shopping or carry on to “Checkout”.

How does the ordering process work?

If you would like to pay via EFT, then once you have placed your order, you will automatically receive an email with our banking details and your unique order reference number for the EFT or deposit, this will also be displayed onscreen once the order has been submitted. (Please use the Exact Reference Number when making payment to avoid delays). 

If you would like to pay online, then once you have placed your order and made payment you will automatically receive a notification that we have received payment. You will then receive a second notification once we have dispatched with a tracking number where applicable. Your labels will then be on their way to you.

How can I check the status of my order?

The best way to do this is to send an email an query to info@labels4school.co.za, or SMS one of the numbers on the “Contact Us” page. 

Payment queries

What payment methods are there?

We accept on-line credit card payments, EFT or deposit. We do not operate on a COD basis as we use independent couriers.

Where can I send the proof of payment?

Just so long as you use your reference number correctly – we do not need the proof of payment.

What happens if I use the wrong reference number?

Please let us know! We Cannot match your payment unless you use the correct reference number.

My bank does not like the branch code – what can I do?

This does happen sometimes with Nedbank or Absa. Try adding two zeros in front of the branch code. Alternatively you can use the branch name: Galleria Amanzimtoti.

How long does payment take to clear?

We generally take 1-2 days to match payment. FNB will clear into our account immediately, other banks may take a day or two.
